Thiruvananthapuram: Over 4.76 lakh students Wednesday appeared for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examinations which commenced at various centres in Kerala, the Gulf and Lakshadweep islands.

go According to Director of Public Instruction MS Jaya, 4,76,373 students, 2,33,034 of them girls, are appearing for this year’s exams in 2903 centres,

Of the regular students, 4,72,921 are writing the examination in the state, while 583 children are appearing for the exam in nine Gulf centres and 813 from few centres in the Union Territory of Lakshadweep.
